Migration Designer (m/f/d)

As a Migration Designer, you are responsible for the end-to-end design of data migrations – from functional concepts to simplified technical implementations. You act as the key link between the customer, developers, and software vendors, ensuring that migration requirements are clearly understood, designed, and delivered.

You lead migration design workshops, translate business and operational requirements into migration concepts, and support the implementation and testing phases as a sparring partner for all data migration topics.

Your Responsibilities

• Design data migrations from a functional and technical perspective (including simplified technical logic)
• Lead and moderate migration design workshops with customers and stakeholders
• Act as the interface between customer, development team, and software suppliers (source and target systems)
• Support issue management during migration phases
• Analyze and resolve test findings related to data migration
• Act as a sparring partner for all data migration-related questions
• Work closely with operational departments on the customer side to ensure business requirements are correctly reflected
• Support developers with clear, pragmatic migration designs and documentation

• Proven experience in data migration projects
• Strong skills in data analysis and querying 
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear migration designs
• Experience working with complex source and target systems
• Preferably market knowledge in Automotive, Financial Services, or Mobility
• Strong communication skills and confidence in stakeholder interactions
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working in interdisciplinary and international teams
